Our Story
Spandana Organisation was established to render service to the poor and needy of West Godavari District. Initial focus was on setting up educational centres for child labour and bonded labour children.
Achieved many awards from district collectors of West Godavari District for our work educating underprivileged children. This recognition validated our approach and motivated further expansion.
Recognised the urgent need to serve disabled children. Took a lead step to organise a rehabilitation centre for disabled kids, providing food, shelter, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and special education in rented premises.
150 children were treated and began enjoying life by joining normal schools and playing with normal children. This milestone proved the effectiveness of our integrated rehabilitation model.
Local elders recognised the need and extended the institution. With kind co-operation of ASHA FOR EDUCATION โ USA, we built our own building on 212 yards in Palangi Village, moving from rented premises to a permanent home.
Nearly 200 disabled children currently need our services. We operate an orphanage for 45 disabled orphan children and continue expanding our physiotherapy, speech therapy, special education, and vocational training programs.
What Drives Us
To reach and train all 200 disabled children in West Godavari District by providing physiotherapy, speech therapy, special education, and vocational training โ giving them a new hope for life.
A world where every disabled child, regardless of their condition, receives equal opportunities to learn, grow, earn a livelihood, and live with dignity alongside their peers.
Compassion, inclusion, dignity, and community. We believe disability is not inability โ every child has potential that needs only the right care and opportunity to blossom.
